Cooley Law School, with locations in Michigan and Florida, seeks an Associate Director of Advancement and Alumni Relations. This position will be located at the Lansing, MI campus.
The Associate Director of Advancement and Alumni Relations will engage and involve the Law School alumni; develop and manage alumni engagement programs including recruiting and coordinating volunteers, and planning and implementing alumni events and reunions; and, manage the Thomas M. Cooley Alumni Association and coordinate the National Alumni Board. The Associate Director will implement an annual giving campaign. Frequent travel, and evening and weekend hours required.
Successful candidates will possess all or many of the following qualifications and/or skills: bachelor’s degree required or at least three to five years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience; and, a minimum of three to five years of experience managing, developing, and managing alumni and fundraising programs and events in higher education; excellent computer skills including Word and Excel, knowledge of Google Suite and alumni and donor software (Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge) and social media platforms; strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; ability to work individually and in a team; ability to handle confidential information; good time management and ability to multitask; and, ability to interact positively with individuals from a variety of diverse backgrounds.
