Administrative Assistant

WMU-Cooley Law School seeks an Administrative Assistant. This position will be located at the Tampa Bay campus. The successful candidate provides administrative support and assistance to the Assistant Dean, Director of Campus Administration, Academic Resources Center, legal clinics, and faculty. Job duties include office functions like answering telephone calls; greeting students and visitors; drafting correspondence, and coordinating schedules and appointments. Also assists with course management system and provides administrative support for classes; and organizes events and ceremonies.

Qualifications: Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, bachelor’s degree is preferred, or two to four years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. This position requires a minimum of three years of related experience; experience in an academic setting preferred. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Google Suite; knowledge of software applications like course management system (Canvas), student information database (CAMS), web conference and videoconference (WebEx), and intranet (Connect); customer service focus; strong oral and written communication skills; excellent organizational skills; ability to multitask and work in a highly professional environment; ability to work effectively with students, and employees; occasional evening and weekend hours required; and, openness to diverse, multicultural environment and working with a broad range of individuals.
