Director of Enrollment Programs and Student Services

Western Michigan University-Cooley Law School, with locations in Michigan and Florida, seeks a Director of Enrollment Programs and Student Services to serve in a central administrative position. This position will be located at the Tampa Bay campus in Riverview, Florida.

The Director of Enrollment Programs and Student Services reports to the Senior Vice President and Associate Dean of the Administration, Enrollment and Student Services Division (AESS). In this role, the Director shares supervision of AESS staff located at both locations who are responsible for a variety of student services functions and provides professional level assistance to all central enrollment and student services areas. S/he coordinates enrollment programs such as orientation and graduation. This individual also directs student government and student organization advising activities, and the WMU-Cooley Leaders Academy and other leadership programming. This individual will assist the Senior Vice President with assessment of AESS activities and programs.

Successful candidates will possess all or many of the following qualifications and/or skills: Master’s degree required, Juris Doctor or Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration or equivalents preferred; minimum of 3 to 5 years of related experience with a higher education institution; understanding student development concepts; excellent communication and the ability to interact positively with individuals and constituencies from a variety of diverse backgrounds; management and supervision skills; statistical analysis, problem solving, and technology skills; event planning.
