Adjunct Professor Tim McDonald received his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University. After graduating from Michigan State University law school in 2001, Professor McDonald worked as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office in Pontiac, MI. In 2010, Professor McDonald joined the United States Department of Homeland Security where he represented the United States in Immigration Court. In 2017, Professor McDonald joined the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Michigan as a Special Assistant United States Attorney assigned to the National Security Unit. During this assignment, Professor McDonald prosecuted Immigration and national security-related criminal offenses. Since 2018, Professor McDonald has been an Assistant United States Attorney assigned to the Narcotics Unit. He teaches Immigration Court Practice.
