My role at Cooley Law School as Assistant Vice President of Finance and Controller is to manage all the functions of the Business Office. Our staff of five has primary responsibility for student accounts and other receivables, payroll, payables, financial reporting, tax reporting and compliance, and certain regulatory compliance.
After joining Cooley Law School in 2004 as the Assistant Controller, in 2007 I transitioned into my current role. Previous to joining Cooley, I spent over seven years at Plante & Moran, where my client focus was audits of higher education institutions and not-for-profits. I am a member of both the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
