James Anderton serves as an attorney for Loomis Ewert Parsley Davis & Gotting, P.C. in Lansing, Michigan where he assists clients in a wide variety of tax-related fields with extensive experience in dealing with entrepreneurs and start-ups and the special tax and financial issues they face. In 2012 he was named one of the “Top 5 Under 35” by the Ingham County Bar Association and also one of the “10 Over the Next 10” by the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Grand River Connection. 

He graduated with a B.A. from Cornell University and obtained his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. Mr. Anderton is also a WMU-Cooley alumnus, having earned his LL.M. Degree from WMU-Cooley. He is licensed to practice in Michigan and Florida.

Mr. Anderton teaches Accounting for Lawyers, Tax Planning for Closely-Held Business, Tax Planning for Businesses, and Standards & Ethics of Tax Practice.
