My role and responsibilities allow me to partner with Cooley in its access mission of advancing diversity of the legal profession through our Professional Exploration Program which provides well-qualified individuals the opportunity to study law, prepare to pass the bar, and become lawyers. The legal profession must have a diverse Bar that is representative of the world we inhabit. This belief was foundational in the establishment of Cooley Law School and continues to be a core guiding principle.
Within the Enrollment & Student Services division of Cooley, I oversee the administration of our Disability Services Program at each of our locations for students who are seeking accommodations. I work closely with the Associate Director of Enrollment and Student Services to provide reasonable accommodations in accordance with applicable civil rights laws.
For international students attending Cooley Law School on an F-1 visa, I serve as the Primary Designated School Official (PDSO) for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and serve as the point of contact for F-1 students who have questions or concerns about their immigration status.
I serve on several national, state, and local committees, including the State Bar of Michigan, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee (DIAC), the Lawyers and Judges Assistance Program (LJAP), and the American Bar Association (ABA) CoLAP Advisory Committee.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, journaling, and persevering in my efforts to train our Goldendoodle puppy, Apollo.
