I was born in the Dominican Republic and raised in Puerto Rico. I attended the University of South Florida, where I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in criminology, cum laude. Later, I obtained a master’s degree in criminal justice and correctional leadership from the University of Central Florida. Finally, my greatest academic achievement is my Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School.

While in law school, I interned with the WMU-Cooley Innocence Project, where I reviewed and worked on claims of innocence. While volunteering my time at the Project, I assisted in the exoneration of LeDura Watkins, a man who spent over 40 years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit.

Upon being sworn to the Florida Bar, I joined the Law Offices of Julianne Holt, Public Defender, 13th Judicial Circuit. While at the Public Defender’s office, I spent time in the intake division, baker act, mental health court, juvenile delinquency, and criminal traffic misdemeanor court. Prior to law school, I worked as a paralegal at two prominent law firms in Tampa, Catania & Catania, P.A. and Stolberg & Townsend, P.A.

As the Director of Campus Administration, Florida, I am responsible for term course schedules and provide campus supervision and support in the areas of admissions, career and professional development, registration, financial aid, graduation, veterans’ benefits, and international student programs. I also support student programs, including orientation, student organization fairs, the distinguished and career-related speaker series, and honors convocation.

In addition to my director role, I am a pro bono Attorney Ad Litem and Board member of Crossroads for Florida Kids, Inc, a non-profit organization that provides legal services to children charged with crimes in Hillsborough County. I hold a two-year appointment in State Attorney 13th Judicial Circuit, Andrew Warren’s Community Council. I am an active member of the Florida Bar, Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Law School Affiliates, Hillsborough County Bar Association (HCBA), George Edgecomb Bar Association and Ferguson-White Inn of Court.  Most recently, I was accepted to be a part of the HCBA Bar Leadership Institute 2021-22 class. I am currently licensed to practice law in Florida State Courts and the Middle District of Florida, U.S. District Court.

I reside in Brandon, Florida, with my husband and high school sweetheart, Josef, and our dogs, Emmie and Ella.
