Most of my work consists of assisting the President and Dean and the Board of Directors with their functions at the law school. I also take care of in-house legal work and assist the school’s outside legal counsel on certain matters.
I joined the law school in 1980 as a secretary, assisting with all departments. Within six months I was appointed Executive Assistant to the President, working for the founder, Judge Thomas E. Brennan. Encouraged by him to go to law school, I finished my undergraduate studies, then applied at Cooley. I graduated from Cooley in 1999, passed the bar, and was assigned to assist the school’s general counsel with legal matters for the law school, along with my duties to the president and the Board of Directors.
During my 40+ years with the school, I have worked for three presidents and one interim president, which has given me the opportunity to see all the exciting growth the school has made in many areas.
