“I believe in WMU-Cooley’s practical J.D. and LL.M. education, and I enjoy coaching students through their law school experience to set them up for long-term success. I strive to assist in providing a substantive, meaningful, and enjoyable online learning experience for all students and faculty.”
I joined WMU-Cooley in 2010 as the Director of Graduate & Extended Programs. Part of this job has been to administratively manage the programs and to innovate the school’s online-class offerings. With a passion for online learning, I have worked to assist Cooley in providing high-quality online LL.M. Programs to students worldwide.
In March 2020, I became responsible for the school’s online learning efforts as the Director of Online Learning. In this role, I partner with both faculty and staff to manage and coordinate online resources and faculty training as WMU-Cooley transitions further into the online learning environment.
Before joining WMU-Cooley, I worked as a research attorney with the Michigan Court of Appeals in the Prehearing Division, where I provided objective legal research and analysis on state appellate cases. After beginning work at WMU-Cooley, I taught Individual Income Tax, Taxation of Business Entities, and I also began working as a hearing referee for the Michigan Tax Tribunal, where I conducted hearings on real-property tax, valuation, and exemption-eligibility matters. I represent pro-bono clients throughout Michigan on an as-needed basis.
I am a Trustee for Educational Technology of Michigan, President of the Michigan Women’s Tax Association, and a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the US Tax Court.
