“Take full advantage of the opportunities afforded you, grow through each of them, and always be grateful to those who provided you the chance.”

As Director of Academic Integration, I assist the President and Chief of Staff with strategic projects, ensuring accurate reporting and continuous improvement. I coordinate the activities of the Directors of Campus Administration to ensure quality and consistency of the student experience across the institution, especially with regard to academic success, bar preparation training programs, and the assessment of participation, effectiveness, and learning outcomes, including overseeing exam administration. I develop the academic schedule and assign faculty, including identifying, hiring, and orienting adjuncts; assisting with adjunct course proposal development; and tracking and reporting on adjunct effectiveness. I coordinate the institutional calendar ensuring consistent messaging and information distribution through newsletters, Cooley Connect, and other communication tools. I also represent the law school at bench, bar, and alumni events, as well as track, maintain and develop alumni contacts for both development and career placement opportunities.

I am a proud alumna of Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, having graduated with the Fellows class in 1997. While in law school, I took full advantage of the many opportunities our school offers:  I interned with the Sixty Plus Elderlaw Clinic; was the founding Communications Editor of the Thomas M. Cooley Journal of Practical and Clinical Law; participated in Moot Court and Mock Trial and was selected to represent Cooley in the Association of Trial Lawyers of America National Mock Trial Competition. I served as a Senator, Director of budget and finance, and Treasurer of the Student Bar Association; was a member of the ABA Law Student Division and served on the 6th circuit ABA Conference Planning Board;  wrote for The Pillar; was a member and Vice-Dean of the Delta Theta Phi International Law Fraternity, and served as both an Ambassador and Graduation Marshal.

As a graduate, I served the Alumni Association in executive roles culminating in the office of President for the 2011-2012 year. I remain a member of the National Alumni Board and my husband and I have reached Temple Society status in the Thomas M. Cooley Society."
