A. Bentley Nettles is Executive Director of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission managing the day-to-day operations of a state agency with 635 full time employees with 41 locations throughout Texas. In this position his duties include daily decisions regarding diverse function agency involving law enforcement operations, regulatory administration of the state alcoholic beverage code, legal prosecution and administrative cases involving violations of the state law, budgetary responsibility for 96 million dollar state biennial budgetary process and execution of state appropriation.

Prior to his current role Mr. Nettles was in private practice focused on representing Veterans in administrative proceedings before the Veteran Administration. He also enjoyed a long career with the Texas National Guard, serving in roles of General Counsel, Red Team Leader, Field Support Supervisor Information Operations, Administrative Lawyer, and Operational Law Advisor. He also previously held positions in private practice. He is a current board member for Bryan Texas Utilities and a founding member of the non-profit organization Brazos Valley Cares, which is dedicated to helping veterans with immediate housing and emergency needs.
