Intellectual Property LL.M.

Intellectual Property Law - Master of Laws (LL.M.) Program

Intellectual Property LL.M. program

Our goal for WMU-Cooley Law School LL.M. degree programs is to provide a robust learning experience for students, while still offering flexibility for the working attorney. So we are always looking for ways to get better. To that end, we have selected the Intellectual Property LL.M. as our first program to retool as a high-quality, primarily on-demand program. We are excited about the opportunities for asynchronous learning in our already-online programs. So in keeping with our mission of continuous improvement in student programming and curriculum, we are pausing our IP LL.M. program to revamp and enhance the program to better fit the needs of our lawyer students.
With that in mind, no new students will be accepted in the program until the new program is fully in place.

Current Intellectual Property LL.M. students can continue their program and finish out their degrees.

In the meantime, find out more about our excellent online LL.M. programs and how you can advance your degree and career now!

Intellectual Property LL.M. Program

Why an LL.M. in IP Law?

Intellectual Property law is one of the most rapidly expanding field of legal practice. Once confined to "niche" practices, IP law now permeates the affairs of corporations and organizations of every size and description. The program is designed both for attorneys with scientific or engineering background seeking to gain the skills necessary to practice patent law, including succeeding on the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office's Registration Examination, and for attorneys with non-technical backgrounds seeking to become proficient in copyright, trademark, licensing, and e-commerce issues.
