Estate Planning Clinic

An outgrowth of the Sixty Plus, Inc., Elderlaw Clinic, the Estate Planning Clinic provides evening and weekend students opportunities to assist area senior citizens with estate planning issues. This is a one-term program, for three credits.

WMU-Cooley Estate Planning Clinic

What Do Students Learn?

Sixty Plus, WMU-Cooley's live client elderlaw clinic, accepts applications from students who will have completed 40 or more credits and who have a cumulative GPA of 2.00 or better.

Sixty Plus offers a one-term Estate Planning Clinic. This program is available to weekend and evening students and others if space is available. There are two sections offered, an evening session and a Saturday morning session. Interns interview and counsel clients, and draft wills, powers of attorney, and medical directives. This program allows students to have the clinical experience during weekend or evening hours.
