Student Bar Association Web Site

Student Bar Association in the lower level of the Cooley Center building, Lansing, MI.
  • The Student Bar Association (SBA) provides students an opportunity to interact with their elected representative to address issues, problems, ask for speakers, and gather student input for the school
  • In addition to the Student Bar Association, there are over 40 different clubs and organizations represented at Cooley Law School
  • Organizations display club information on bulletin boards along the hallways of the 2nd Floor of the Classroom Building
  • Most students become involved in one or more organizations

THE STUDENT BAR ASSOCIATION
The SBA also maintains an Outline Bank, which contains essays from students who have done well in a course. There is a contest each term for who has the best essay. These are available to students for a fee. CAUTION: DO YOUR OWN OUTLINES!!! This is part of the learning process. There is so much information (13 weeks of material plus a review week). Keep in mind that anything said in class, anything that you’ve been assigned in your reading - is all fair game for the exam. Make sure you are paying attention, reading, and briefing on your own.
