In 1999, Professor Jason accompanied a group of students to Melbourne, Australia.  The Cooley down under program began our relationship with the Monash University law faculty.  Two years later we expanded to a full semester, with a second stop at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Cooley's summer program in Toronto began in 2000 with a six-week stay at St. Michaels College. From the beginning, the program has emphasized courses taught by a wide range of Canadian law teachers, government lawyers, judges and private practitioners
