Cooley graduate John Engler was elected Governor of Michigan.

« First elected in 1990 as Michigan's 46th governor, Governor John Engler is now America's most senior governor. Engler was elected chairman of the National Governors Association in August 2001.
He served in office from January 1, 1991 through January 1, 2003.
Several local law firms make major gift donations to the law school’s library fund raising project.
Cooley alumni participate in the library fund raising project by pledging over $100,000.
