The Admissions Formula

Cooley Law School uses a straightforward formula to determine eligibility. All applicants are required to take the LSAT and register for the complete LSDAS service. (Foreign-educated applicants should contact the Admissions Office.)

For classes in the 2007-08 academic year (September 2007, January 2008, and May 2008) the minimum index is 186, with a minimum LSAT score of 143 required for regular admission.

For classes in the 2008-09 academic year (September 2008, January 2009, and May 2009) the minimum index is 187, with a minimum LSAT score of 143 required for regular admission.

For applicants who do not meet the minimum requirements for regular admission, there are alternate admission requirements that must be met for a conditional admission. Other applications will be forwarded to the Faculty Admissions Committee for a review of the LSAT Writing Sample for consideration for a qualifying program.

*The law school reserves the right to change, eliminate or add to without notice the admission requirements, schedules, policies, practices, programs, procedures, tuition, and fees.
