Hi-Tech CourtroomsOur state-of-the-art courtrooms are devoted to trial and appellate skills-training and are used for moot court and mock trial competitions, classrooms, and more.The Lansing courtrooms feature a special design that is unique among the nation's law schools.In our courtrooms, the gallery is not positioned behind the lawyers' tables as is the practice in standard courtrooms. Instead, the galleries are where the juror boxes would normally be. In this way, the viewers – Cooley students watching their classmates at work – are able to observe the participants' faces instead of their backs.
