Admission Requirements

Prospective students must apply to Cooley law School and Oakland University (OU) independently and be admitted according to each school's admission criteria. Prospective students should review all application requirements on the websites for Cooley and oakland.edu/mba or oakland.edu/mpa for Oakland University.

JD/MBA

The partnership between Oakland University and Cooley recognizes there is a close association between law and business. The dual degree program provides the student the ability to get
into the marketplace faster than if each degree was completed separately.

Cooley supplies students with the substantive knowledge, legal skills, and ethics needed for bar examinations. Students acquire an ethical framework that will guide them throughout their professional career. The curriculum prepares students for a successful entrance into the practice of law and places students in a position to excel in further graduate studies.

Oakland University's MBA is fully AACSB accredited and is desinged to educate and prepare students for managerial roles in private, public, or not-for-profit sectors of the economy. This degree emphasizes international business and information technology. Important skills acquired by students include problem identification, problem solving, decision making, leadership, and effective interation in an increasingly complex and global workplace.
