Cooley Law School Names New Director of Human Resources

The Thomas M. Cooley Law School has named Scott Harrison as its new director of human resources.
Harrison has served as the director of human resources at
The Smithfield Beef Group in Plainwell, Mich. since July 2001. He earned a juris doctor degree from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School and a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University.
"Cooley was a fantastic and stimulating place to go to
school," Harrison said. "To join that environment as an employee is a tremendous honor."
Cooley employs 244 full-time professional staff members and approximately 147 part-time professional staff members on
its three campuses in Lansing, Grand Rapids and Auburn Hills, as well as 113 full-time professors and 140 adjunct professors.
Celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, Cooley Law School is the largest law school in the country. Founded in 1972, it operates J.D. programs across Michigan in downtown Lansing, in Auburn Hills, and in downtown Grand Rapids. Today, Cooley Law School has more than 12,000 graduates across the nation and worldwide and also offers joint degree and Master of Laws programs.
