Cooley Law School Hosts Holland Case Roundtable Event

Discussion to feature judges and attorneys who were part of the case.

The Thomas M. Cooley Law School will host an educational community forum on Friday, Feb. 23 with the judges and attorneys who played a key role in the Tim and Lisa Holland trials. The event is free, open to the public and will begin at noon at Cooley’s Lansing campus at 217 S. Capitol Ave. in downtown Lansing.

“This educational forum will hopefully help the community gain a better understanding of this complex case,” Cooley professor and event moderator Anthony Flores said. “It also should help to demystify the law while adding perspective.”

The educational forum will begin with each participant sharing his/her role and individual perspective on the case. A question-and-answer session will follow. The individuals listed below will participate:

  • The Honorable Paula Manderfield, trial judge – Ingham County Circuit Court
  • The Honorable Rosemarie Aquilina, preliminary examination hearing judge – Chief Judge of the 55th District Court in Ingham County
  • Frank Harrison Reynolds, co-counsel for Tim Holland – The Reynolds Law Firm
  • Scott Mertens, Tim Holland’s co-counsel – The Reynolds Law Firm
  • Andrew Abood, co-counsel for Lisa Holland – Abood Law Firm
  • Michael Nichols, co-counsel for Lisa Holland – The Nichols Law Firm
  • Michael Ferency, assistant prosecutor in Holland case – Ingham County Prosecutor’s Office

Note: All participants are graduates of Cooley Law School
