Solo By Design™ Teaches Students Secrets to Success
Educational law event Friday, June 6 from 6 - 9 p.m. - Lansing Campus
June 4, 2014 - Thomas M. Cooley Law School will offer Solo by Design™ , an educational program for law students and attorneys, on June 6, 2014, at Cooley’s Lansing campus.
Recent Cooley graduates Alexander Benikov (Coleman Class, 2009) and Sarah Ostahowski (Sibley Class, 2011) will tell their stories and answer questions at this event. Their presentations include candid conversation about the successes and trials of solo practice, featuring their prescriptions for success in two very different styles of practice.
Benikov and Ostahowski will share their secrets to solo success, but in their own very different ways.
Benikov teaches classes in law office management as an adjunct professor, has published two books on going solo and managing clients, and practices private criminal defense in a large urban center.
Ostahowski has established a practice in a small village of only 2,000 residents, focusing exclusively on estate planning.
Each will share their personal experience of going solo in an uncertain economy even though just fresh out of law school. The 6-9 p.m. event will be held at the Cooley Center, 300 S. Capitol Ave., Lansing, MI 48933.
