February 18, 2013 - Cooley graduate Chad Engelhardt speaks to students in Ann Arbor on February 7, 2013 with his "Integrity in Our Communities" speaker series presentation "Actions Speak Louder Than Words: A Trial Lawyer's Lessons in Professionalism."  Graduate Chad Engelhardt (McAllister Class, 2005) was recognized by the Cooley Center for Ethics, Service, and Professionalism for his ethics, professionalism, service and dedication to Washtenaw County and Cooley Law School.


Trial Lawyer to Receive Award and Speak to Students about Professionalism, Pro Bono Work

February 4, 2013 – Ann Arbor Attorney Chad Engelhardt will be honored with Thomas M. Cooley Law School's "Integrity in Our Community Award" on Thursday, Feb. 7 at noon.  Engelhardt will speak at the school's Ann Arbor campus as part of Cooley's Center for Ethics, Service, and Professionalism's "Integrity in Our Communities" speaker series. His presentation is titled "Actions Speak Louder Than Words: A Trial Lawyer's Lessons in Professionalism." 

"Chad has supported Cooley's ethics and professionalism initiatives in the Ann Arbor community and beyond, not only professionally, but personally," said Melissa Stowe-Lloyd, assistant director of Cooley Law School's Center for Ethics, Service and Professionalism. "He has offered financial support to many of the community's initiatives to help the underprivileged, provided countless hours of pro-bono legal services, and gives his time to help others beyond their legal needs."

Engelhardt is the founding member of the Center for Medical Truth and Justice and a partner at Goethel Engelhardt, PLLC in Ann Arbor. He focuses his practice on the litigation of complex medical malpractice, catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases. Detroit Business recognized Engelhardt as one of Michigan's top medical malpractice attorneys and he was named one of Michigan's "Rising Stars" by Super Lawyers. He was also honored by The New York Times as one of Michigan's "Top Young Attorneys." 

The Feb. 7 lunch time event will be held at Cooley's Ann Arbor campus located at 3475 Plymouth Road and is free to attend.
