ICBA Young Lawyers Section Names Cooley Alumni Among 'Top 5 Under 35'
March 30, 2012 – Four Cooley Law School alumni were honored in March at the Ingham County Bar Association's Third Annual Barristers Night. The event included The Young Lawyers Section of the Ingham County Bar's "Top 5 Under 35" Awards.
Among those honored were Cooley Law School graduates Ross Bower, Lindsey Elya, Donald Rencher, and Edwar Zeineh.
Ross Bower (Fisher Class, 2007) is an attorney with Fahey Schultz Burzych Rhodes PLC in Okemos. Bower’s practice focuses on municipal law and drain law. He serves as legal counsel to numerous local municipalities, and is a consultant and counsel to county drain commissioners throughout Michigan.
Lindsey A. Elya (Riley Class, 2009) has worked with Legal Services of South Central Michigan since April 2010. Her practice focuses primarily on family and elder law cases.
Donald Rencher (Witherell Class, 2010) is a staff attorney for the Michigan State Housing Development Authority's Office of Legal Affairs. In his position, he focuses on the areas of fair housing, real estate transaction, and administrative law.
Edwar A. Zeineh (CJ Adams Class, 2008) owns the Law Office of Edwar A. Zeineh, in Lansing, Mich. His primary areas of practice include criminal defense, bankruptcy, family law, business organization, landlord/tenant issues, Social Security benefits, and personal injury.
