The Thomas M. Cooley Law School celebrated Constitution Day and Patriots Week in a variety of ways at its four Michigan campuses this month. In Ann Arbor, Cooley students visited all five Ann Arbor middle schools Sept. 19 for presentations and discussions on amendments to the constitution. Earlier, on Sept. 12 in Auburn Hills, the Black Law Students Association, the Federalist Society, and the American Constitution Society at Cooley joined with the Oakland County Bar Association's Diversity in the Legal Profession Committee to present "Diversity and Equality in a Post-9/11 World: Have We Crossed the Precipice of Intolerance," moderated by the Hon. Michael Warren, 6th Circuit Court, Pontiac. Also on Sept. 12, in Grand Rapids, the Weekend Student Association and the Cooley Veterans Corps presented "The Fight of the Century. Should We Adopt This Newfangled Constitution Proposed by the Constitutional Convention" at Tavern on the Square. In Lansing, Professor William Wagner gave a presentation on Sept. 12, "Standing on the Shoulders of Giants: The Character and Worldview of the Early American Statesmen."
