Cooley for Kids Reaches 10th Anniversary; Law School is Honored
Cooley Law School was recognized and re-presented with the Michigan Recreation and Parks Association (MRPA) award before the Lansing City Council on July 26. Below, Brett Kaschinske, Lansing Parks and Recreation Manager of Leisure Services, presented the award, which honors Cooley's generosity in supporting the annual Kids Camp trip to Cooley Law School Stadium to watch the Lansing Lugnuts baseball team.
Also present for the award was Murdock Jemerson, Lansing Parks Director; Michaela McAnany, Lansing Lugnuts Sponsorship Service Representative; Cooley SBA President Elias Fanous; Lansing Lugnuts official Chris Arth; Helen Mickens, associate dean of community relations; and Terry Carella, Cooley's director of communications.
The award was presented to Cooley on the 10th anniversary of the Cooley for Kids event. At bottom, Cooley Law School and Cooley Student Bar Association members visit with Lansing Parks and Recreation students on Monday, July 26 during the annual event. Cooley for Kids Day sends hundred of kids to see the Lansing Lugnuts minor league baseball team play at what is now named Cooley Law School Stadium in Lansing.

At a Lansing City Council meeting, Cooley Law School President and Dean Don LeDuc accepts congratulations and an award for the law school's work with Cooley for Kids, an annual program sending hundreds of kids to see the Lugnuts play baseball in Cooley Law School Stadium.
