Bradley J. Charles Joins Cooley Law School’s Ann Arbor Campus as an Assistant Professor

The Thomas M. Cooley Law School today announced that Assistant Professor Bradley J. Charles will join the faculty of Cooley's Ann Arbor campus to teach legal research and writing. His new appointment will begin in January 2010.
Charles has been an assistant professor and visiting professor at Cooley's Grand Rapids campus since 2007.
"I am delighted that Brad will be joining the Ann Arbor faculty," said Associate Dean Joan Vestrand, head of the Ann Arbor campus. "His devotion to fine legal writing is matched only by his love of teaching the craft to his students."
Charles was recently named a member of the Black’s Law Dictionary Panel of Contributors for the ninth edition of the publication. He previously served as a judicial law clerk for the 21st Circuit Court in Isabella County, Mich., before joining Cooley. He earned a bachelor of arts in international law from Brigham Young University and holds a juris doctor from Cooley Law School. During his studies at Cooley, he was assistant editor and scholarly writing editor for the Cooley Law Review and received the Krasicky Award, which is given to the editor who makes the most significant contribution to the publication.
Cooley Law School is the largest law school in the nation. Founded in 1972, the private, non-profit law school operates J.D. programs across Michigan in Lansing, Auburn Hills, Grand Rapids and Ann Arbor. Today, Cooley Law School has nearly 14,000 graduates across the nation and worldwide and also offers joint degree and master of laws programs. Cooley offers enrollment three times a year; in January, May and September.
