| Collection |
Over 550,000 volumes and volume equivalents (microform) with an annual growth rate of over 16,000 volumes. Multiple copies of titles used for required courses are purchased to accommodate student use. Purchase suggestions may be made through the COOLCAT. |

40 full-time staff including 21 professional librarians. |
| Computer Assisted Research (CALR) |
Students have access to LEXIS, WESTLAW and several other online research systems such as Hein Online, Congressional Universe, and RIA Checkpoint. Students receive introductory training from the librarians in many of these sources (including general Internet searching) as part of Research and Writing, Advanced Writing, Scholarly Writing and other classes. |
| Online Catalog |
CoolCat is the Library's Internet -based online catalog, providing author, title, keyword, and subject access to the Library's collection. CoolCat is available on the Web at http://library.cooley.edu. Public terminals throughout the Library provide access to CoolCat and other electronic resources. |
| Reference Desk |
Staffed 100 hours per week by professional librarians, the Reference Desk supports legal research by answering questions, recommending research materials and strategies, and instructing patrons on the use of individual print and electronic sources. |
| Computing Facilities |
The Libraries are wireless zones allowing faculty, staff and students the ability to access Cooley's network from a laptop. Additionally, there are computer labs and plug-in points that provide access to word processing, computer assisted legal research, and tutorial programs. |
| Photocopying |
Photocopiers are located on each floor of the Library and the Copy Center . Your Cooley Student I.D. serves as a copycard. Public patrons may purchase a copy card for $1.00. |
| Study Rooms |
The Libraries have multiple study rooms available for group study purposes. Some of the rooms are equipped with VCRs or DVD players and monitors. |
| Tours |
Tours of the Library are given to prospective students by Cooley Admissions staff. Student tours and non-Cooley group tours can be arranged through the Associate Director of Library and Information Services. |
| Interlibrary Loan |
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a cooperative arrangement between participating libraries to make available to researchers material that is not owned by their "home" libraries. The Cooley Law Library provides Interlibrary Loan services at no cost to its faculty, staff, and students. |
| Circulation/Reserve |
The Circulation/Reserve collection contains both Course Reserves (i.e., items that faculty members have placed there for the convenience of students) as well as general reserves (items in high demand). The Circulation Desk is the place to go for Group Study Room sign-up, picking up Interlibrary Loan materials, and much more! |
| Document Delivery |
The Cooley Law Library provides a fee-based document delivery service to members of the Bench and Bar. Requests may be made for specific documents (i.e., the requester must provide the citation) and the requests must comply with the federal Copyright Law. |
