Fine Policy

For each overdue Reserve item, you will be charged a fine of $1.00 for every hour the item is overdue.   An item that is one minute overdue will be considered one hour overdue.  The fine accumulates to $35.00 at which time you will be billed for the replacement cost of the item. Current market value will be assessed.

For each Main Collection item, you will be charged a fine of $10.00.  The fine accumulates to a maximum of $35.00 at which time you will also be billed for the replacement cost of the item.

Fore each overdue Career Services and Cooley ARC item you will be charged $10.00. The fine accumulates to a maximum of $35.00 at which time you will be billed for the replacement cost of the item. Current market value will be assessed.

For each overdue Popular Video item you will be charged $1.00 per day.  The fine accumulates to a maximum of $35.00 at which time you will be billed for the replacement cost of the item. Current market value will be assessed.

When you owe $10.00 or more, Library privileges are suspended until the amount is paid and the item returned. Overdue fines are the responsibility of the borrowers regardless of vacations, exams, car trouble, illness, late or never received overdue notices, etc. Do not check out material for others. You will be held financially responsible for all items checked out using your card. All overdue charges are non refundable.
