Hilary Term 2013 Recipients

Each term, the Law Review Voting Board of Editors presents awards to Law Review members who have made the most significant contribution to the publication of the Law Review. Here are the award recipients for the Hilary 2013 term:

John D. Voelker Award

The John D. Voelker Award is presented to the Senior Associate Editors who made the most significant contributions to publication of the Law Review. The award is named after former Michigan Supreme Court Justice John D. Voelker (1956-60), who authored some of the most readable opinions in the Michigan Reports and is widely known for his literary works.

The recipients of the John D. Voelker Award are:

Eugene Krasicky Award

The Eugene Krasicky Award is presented to the Assistant Editor who made the most significant contribution to the Law Review. The Award is named after Professor Eugene Krasicky, who developed Cooley's Scholarly Writing program, an honors writing course and the foundation of our Law Review.

The recipient of the Eugene Krasicky Award is:

Dawn C. Beachnau Award

The Dawn C. Beachnau Award is presented to a member of the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review Board of Editors who made the most significant contribution through leadership and dedication to the Law Review. The Award is named after Law Review Administrator Dawn Beachnau. Since 1978, Mrs. Beachnau has been the heart and soul of the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review. This award was established in recognition of her hard work and dedication. She continues to be a true inspiration to all members, both past and present.
