As a law student, Professor Trosty distinguished himself by serving as case note editor of the Alabama Law Review. He went on to practice corporate law as a partner in a New York City law firm while teaching Legal Environment of Business as an adjunct faculty member at Pace University.
Professor Trosty has been a member of the Securities Advisory Committee of the Corporation and Securities Bureau, Michigan Department of Commerce; has served as a consultant to the nonprofit corporation subcommittee of the Michigan Corporation Finance and Business Law section of the State Bar of Michigan; and was appointed by Michigan Gov. William G. Milliken as a member of the State Board of Accountancy.
A member of the Cooley Legal Authors Society and a four-time winner of the Stanley E. Beattie Teaching Award, Professor Trosty teaches Business Organizations, Business Planning and Securities Regulation.
