Before joining the Cooley faculty, Professor Nuckolls served as a commercial litigation associate at the law firm of Clark Hill, PLC in Detroit, Michigan. She also worked as a commercial litigation contract attorney for the Detroit law firm of Pepper Hamilton, LLP.

During her time in private practice, Professor Nuckolls handled various complex commercial litigation matters including product liability, labor and employment, breach of contract, property, environmental, asbestos, and business tort disputes.

Professor Nuckolls teaches Torts at Cooley.
