Before joining the Cooley faculty, Professor Martin-Scott was Chief Administrative Law Judge for the State of Indiana's Unemployment Insurance Review Board. She served as State Purchasing Director as well as General Counsel for the Indiana Department of Administration.
Professor Martin-Scott has been an adjunct Business Law professor for the Indiana Vocational Technical College, as well as an Administrative Appeals Judge, and Assistant City Attorney for the city of Evansville, Ind. She also was in private practice handling criminal and civil matters with a primary emphasis in employment law and domestic relations.
Professor Scott belongs to the State Bars of Michigan and Indiana, and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Indiana. She is a member of the National Association of Unemployment Insurance Appellate Boards and the National Association of State Purchasing Officials (Executive Committee 1991-1993).
