Linda K. Kisabeth first joined the Cooley Law School faculty as an adjunct professor in 1998, teaching Introduction to Law, Law Practice, and Scholarly Writing. In 2008, she became a faculty specialist and visiting faculty member, teaching Intentional Torts in Cooley’s Professional Exploration Program, as well as Torts I and Contracts I. As an Associate Professor and full-time faculty member, Professor Kisabeth now teaches Torts.
Professor Kisabeth also served as an adjunct professor at Lansing Community College 1999-2000, teaching Legal Interviewing and Investigation.
From 1999-2007, she was Associate General Counsel with Delta Dental Plan of Michigan, Inc. She was also an Associate Attorney with Hubbard, Fox, Thomas, White & Bengtson, P.C., in Lansing, Mich., 1998-1999.
While a student at Cooley, she was on the Dean's List and the Honor Roll, was ranked 21st in her class, won the Alumni Association’s Distinguished Student Award, and served as Editor-in-Chief of Cooley’s Journal of Practical & Clinical Law, and as vice president of the Criminal Law Society. She also earned a certificate from the University of San Diego's Institute on International and Comparative Law while studying at Oxford University in England.
Professor Kisabeth is admitted to the State Bar of Michigan; and the Federal District Court, Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan. She is a member of the board of directors for Cooley’s Sixty Plus, Inc., Elderlaw Clnic, and is a member of the Thomas M. Cooley American Inn of Court, the Ingham County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
