Professor Foster joined the fulltime faculty at Cooley in 2009 after serving as an Adjunct Professor, teaching Probate Court Procedure and Practice, as well as Estate Planning, and as a Visiting Professor in the Clinical Department teaching the Estate Planning Clinic, as well as Wills, Estates & Trusts.

Before joining the faculty at Cooley, Professor Foster spent 10 years in private practice. At Bernick, Omer, Radner & Ouellette, P.C., in Lansing, Michigan. He focused his practice on estate and long-term care planning, probate, estate and trust administration and family law. He also served as Of Counsel with Worman, Dixon & Manis, P.L.C., in Lansing, Michigan, and as an attorney with Berrien County (Michigan) Legal Services.

Professor Foster has presented in such areas as Medicaid and Estate Planning.

At Cooley he teaches the Estate Planning Clinic in Auburn Hills and Wills, Estates & Trusts.
