Cooley Launches New Joint Degree Program with WMU

Officials from Cooley Law School and Western Michigan University launched a new joint JD/MBA degree program at a signing ceremony at Cooley’s Grand Rapids Campus on May 13, 2008.

Cooley officials celebrated the launch of a new joint degree program at a signing ceremony that took place at Cooley’s Grand Rapids campus on May 13, 2008.

The law school will begin offering a joint JD/MBA degree program with Western Michigan University in the fall of 2008. Cooley President and Dean Don LeDuc and WMU’s President John Dunn hailed the new degree as the culmination of a long-awaited effort to implement the program.  

P. David Shields, Dean of the Haworth College of Business at WMU, spoke at the signing ceremony of the marketability of students who have both a JD and MBA degree, and said the new joint degree program would be a great benefit to the students of both Cooley and WMU.
