Human Rights Activist Offers Advice on Careers in International Law

Ms. Golzar Kheiltash, international human rights activist, spoke to Grand Rapids Cooley students interested in careers in international law, on February 19, 2007. The presentation was co-sponsored by Cooley’s Career & Professional Development Office and the Grand Rapids International Law Society.

Ms. Kheiltash, an expert on the International Criminal Court and on international human rights law from NGO Citizens for Global Solutions, provided information on how to locate externships and jobs in the area of public international law.

Later than evening, Ms. Kheiltash presented "At the Expense of Justice: US Opposition to the ICC," as part of the Great Decisions: Foreign Policy Lecture Series organized by the World Affairs Council of Western Michigan. The event was sponsored by Cooley Law School and was hosted by Aquinas College. William Weiner, Associate Dean of Cooley’s International, Graduate and Extended Programs, introduced the speaker.
