September 5, 2006 GR Campus Admits Class of 100 for Fall Term
Cooley's GR Campus was a beehive of activity on September 5, as 100 new freshmen began their legal careers. This was the largest entering class of freshmen to date at the Grand Rapids location. One-half of the new students were from outside Michigan, with Illinois, New York, Indiana, New Jersey, and Texas being the most represented states. The new students participated in a three-day orientation program from August 30 - September 1. It included sessions on professionalism and character, legal analysis, a library orientation, financial aid overview, and student government and organizations. Students also were assigned to and met with a Cooley Ambassador. Ambassadors are upper class law students who serve as mentors and assist incoming students during their first semester of law school.
