Habitat for Humanity volunteers (l to r) Candace Daunis, Brandon Stinnett, and LeeAnn Ford helped lay sod and landscape the yard of a newly built Habitat home as part of Cooley's outreach efforts in Grand Rapids.

A proud new homeowner was assisted in her efforts to build a home in Grand Rapids by students and faculty from Cooley's Grand Rapids Campus. Over a dozen volunteers for Habitat for Humanity helped to sod and landscape her property on Monday, June 19, 2006. Because of their efforts, Silvia Purnell will have a home in which to raise her three daughters, ages 2, 4 and 6. Cooley participants were Professor Don Petersen, Professor John Marks, Professor Dena Marks, student Candace Daunis, student LeeAnn Ford, and friend of Cooley Brandon Stinnett. Ms. Ford is Cooley's Habit for Humanity coordinator and schedules work days for Cooley students and faculty each term.
