The GR campus hosted an open house on February 24 for minority students who are considering law school or a legal career. Four legal practitioners spoke to the students about their areas of practice and their career paths. Afterwards, the panel met individually with the students to answer their questions and offer advice about entering the legal profession. Cooley students were on hand as well to talk about their experiences in law school.
The event was funded by the Law School Admissions Council which has designated February as National Minority Law Student Recruitment Month. Both LSAC and Cooley Law School are committed to diversity and the development of a a qualified pool of minority applicants to law school. Cooley currently has the second-largest enrollment of African-American students of any law school and the highest number of minorities overall in the United States.
