Panel Discusses Future of Affirmative Action

Cooley students, staff, and faculty learned about the future of affirmative action programs during a panel presentation on October 27. Panelists included Professor Steven Gonzales who teaches Constitutional Law at Cooley; Valerie Simmons, a partner at Warner Norcross Judd in Grand Rapids; and Ingrid Scott-Weekley, Director of Equal Opportunity for the City of Grand Rapids. The presentation marked the closing of the traveling exhibit entitled "A Case for Diversity: The Affirmative Action Debate at the University of Michigan," which was on display in the GR library for most of October.
