GR Celebrates First Birthday

Over 82 students, staff, faculty, and family members enjoyed hot dogs, hamburgers, barbecued chicken, and birthday cake on Friday, June 18 at the Hilltop Pavilion in John Ball Park in Grand Rapids, Mich. It was a festive evening to celebrate the completion of Cooley Law School's fiirst year in Grand Rapids. The many children in attendance actively participated in games that were organized and run by the GR Student Bar Association. Sack races, three-legged races, a piñata, and a fishing booth kept the kids entertained as well as rewarded with prizes. The adults enjoyed mixing and mingling while watching the children play and participating in more sedate games, such as counting the number of pennies in a jar. Lynn Branham, Associate Dean of the GR location, welcomed all those in attendance and said it was a time to celebrate and enjoy the accomplishments of the past year.
