Cooley Students "Adopt" Family for the Holidays
Cooley students brighten a GR family's Christmas with the delivery of gifts and food to their home.

Front row: Ebonie Hoffman and children.

Cooley Law students took a break from books and exams to help a needy family have a brighter holiday. Nelson Miller, Assistant Dean of Cooley's Grand Rapids campus, and his Professional Responsibility class delivered gifts of clothing, toys, and food to a single mother and her three children. The class "adopted" the family as part of a school-wide effort to provide holiday gifts and a Christmas dinner for those less fortunate.

Cooley's Grand Rapids faculty and staff adopted a family that had recently emigrated to Grand Rapids from Liberia. This is the second year that the Grand Rapids campus has participated in the Adopt-a-Family program sponsored by the Heart of West Michigan United Way.
