Cooley Auburn Hills Student Accomplishments
Our students have excelled at Auburn Hills — one was elected Editor-in-Chief of the Cooley Law Review; another won the Cooley Mock Trial Competition; two others won the Cooley First-Year Moot Court Competition; two others have landed internships with Michigan Supreme Court justices; four others have clerking positions with Oakland County Circuit Court judges; and others are making their mark doing pro bono work for various organizations in the tri-county metro Detroit area.
Our student organizations include the Oakland Student Bar Association, and Oakland chapters of the American Bar Association Law Student Division, the American Civil Liberties Union, the Black Law Students Association, and the Federalist Society.
Our students are also being welcomed as student members of the Oakland County Bar Association, whose membership includes over 3,000 practicing lawyers and judges. This has opened up doors for internships, lawyer-mentors, clerkships, and participation in the Oakland County Inns of Court, a select group of lawyers and judges who focus on fostering lawyer professionalism.
