Cooley Auburn Hills Student Accomplishments
Our students have excelled at Auburn Hills - four have graduated first in their class among all students at all three Cooley campuses; six have won Cooley’s Alumni Distinguished Student Award; eight have won Cooley’s Leadership Achievement Award; one was elected Editor-in-Chief of the Cooley Law Review; two have won the Cooley Mock Trial Competition; and two others won the Cooley First-Year Moot Court Competition.
Our fifteen student organizations include the Auburn Hills Student Bar Association, and the Auburn Hills chapters of the American Bar Association Law Student Division, American Civil Liberties Union, American Constitution Society, Black Law Student Association, Christian Legal Society, Cooley Republicans, Criminal Law Society, Federalist Society, Mock Trial Board, Moot Court Board, Phi Alpha Delta, Sports and Entertainment Law Society, Student Intellectual Property Association, and the Weekend Student Association.
Our students are also being welcomed as student members of the Oakland County Bar Association, Macomb County Bar Association, Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association, Straker Bar Association, Wolverine Bar Association, Women Lawyers Association, and the Federal Bar Association for the Eastern District of Michigan. This has opened up doors for internships, lawyer-mentors, clerkships, and participation in the Oakland County Inns of Court, a select group of lawyers and judges who focus on fostering lawyer professionalism.
