Even though his children are grown, he maintains a deep commitment and relationship with them. John was attracted to Cooley because of its affordable, flexible, and rigorous program. He also received an academic Honors Scholarship.
At Cooley, John mastered the academics, acquired the practice skills, and achieved many law school awards, including winning Best Oralist at a national Moot Court competition. He earned an appellate court internship and a summer-associate position at a prestigious law firm, along with a post-graduate clerkship with a state supreme court. |

pursuit and achieve a career in social justice.
John went to law school out of a lifelong interest in learning. He also is committed to helping people and his community. He had already earned a graduate degree, served as a church leader, managed a visitor center, and worked at a business-planning company, music store, and woodworking-machinery shop.
