Henry Kopicko

Henry chose Cooley Law School based on a combination of factors including Cooley’s flexible scheduling, location, and generous scholarship programs. He was 54 years old when he started at Cooley.

After earning a “B” average in his first semester, he went on to graduate cum laude, earning Certificates of Merit for the top grade in his classes. He was a member of the Cooley Law Review and satisfied his clinical requirement by serving two semesters in Cooley’s Sixty Plus, Inc., Elderlaw Clinic.

Henry graduated in September 2005 and started his own practice right out of law school.

Henry Kopicko

September 2005 graduate
Henry credits Cooley’s business concentration with helping him in business law and estate planning.

Henry was one of the original 28 students in the first class that Cooley offered at Oakland University in September 2002. His business unit at Ford Motor Company was being eliminated as part of corporate restructuring, and the early retirement package he received made it possible for him to pursue a boyhood dream of becoming a lawyer.
