A Year-Round Education

Thomas Cooley has a 12-month academic year consisting of three 15-week terms. At Cooley, these terms are commonly referred to as the Michaelmas, Hilary, and Trinity terms derived for the terms of the English Courts of Common Laws. Each 15-week term meets the American Bar Association's definition of a full semester.

Students have the option of beginning their enrollment in January, May, or September of each year and can choose to take classes during the week or on the weekends. Our program is ideal for students who need to or want to work while attending law school.
