Admission for Lawyers, and Guest & Transfer Student LawyersThe Thomas M. Cooley Law School invites members of the bar to take advantage of the law schools courses and seminars and to make use of its library collections and research facilities. Lawyers interested in taking courses should contact the Registrars Office for further information. Guest StudentsQualified guest students from other ABA-accredited law schools are permitted to take courses for credit at Cooley Law School, provided the school at which they are permanently enrolled agrees in advance to accept the credits earned as a visitor. Guests apply through the Admissions Office. Transfer StudentsTransfer students from other accredited law schools may be admitted to Cooley Law School if they are in good standing with their law schools, their programs are comparable, and they meet Cooleys definition of good standing. Credits for courses with grades less than satisfactory (C or 2.0) are not transferable. Cooley typically permits students to transfer no more than 30 credit hours. Students may be able to transfer up to 45 credit hours with permission. For more information or to apply, contact the Admissions Office. Transfer students are eligible for Honors Scholarships based upon their class rank at the school from which transfer occurs.
